Sun Dogs

Sun Dogs is the ambient sci-fi jazz duo of Dominique Vuvan and Adam Tinkle, like-minded sonic explorers who have long probed the outer reaches of music – Tinkle in a series of experimental recordings on labels like Edgetone and Risky Forager, and Vuvan as a psychologist who studies the neuroscience of music. With past performances at Evoked__Potentials (Upstate NY) and La Plante (MTL QC), Sun Dogs have evolved their bleepy-bloopy experiments into a tightly composed peace chorale, where hypnotic moon bells and spaceship sounds undergird the spirited test flights of flute, clarinet, and saxophone, and interpenetrate with processed field recordings that bend space-time. Their first LP, The Solstice Concert, is forthcoming.
